Day Ninety-Three

Today I am celebrating;

Acting like a girl

Day Sixty-Nine.

I rarely paint my nails. So when I do, it seems like a momentuous occasion.

Day Ninety-Two

Today I am celebrating;

Bringing a little Narnia home

Day Sixty-Eight.

Says David Crowder: "What do you want?"

Answer: "Turkish Delight!"

Day Ninety-One

Today I am celebrating;

Free Food!

Day Sixty-Seven.

Excuse the ridiculous face.

Day Ninety

Today I am celebrating;

A delicious fail

Day Sixty-Six.

Turns out our 'fail' tastes amazing, and even better when sliced. Mmmm... caramel apples.

Day Eighty-Nine

Today I am celebrating;

Friends

Day Sixty-Five.

I miss you and our wonderful adventures into Narnia.

Day Eighty- Eight

Today I am celebrating;

Funny Friends

Day Sixty-Four.

This little guy stayed with us in our cabin. He connected me to the summer.

Day Eighty-Seven

Today I am celebrating;

Small wonders.

Day Sixty-Three.

While Dave shot arrows, I shot bees, a frog and a grasshopper.

Day Eighty-Six

Today I am celebrating;

Beautiful pancake clouds

Day Sixty-Two.

Clouds amuse me. I stare at them while Dave drives and try to make shapes out of them. These are all pancakes.

Day Eighty-Five

Today I am celebrating;

Homework

Day Sixty-One.

Sometimes (okay, most times) grammar class is unbelievable. My classmates are pulling out their hair because they don't understand, and I'm falling asleep. There is way too large of a gap between them and I... So I do my homework, thankful for some to do.

Day Eighty-Four

Today I am celebrating,

Murphy's Law

Day Sixty.

It must be a law. When you shake the salt shaker over your food the top falls off and salt spills all over the meatballs. Most of it was scraped out, but there was still so much. So we ate salty meatballs.

Day Eighty-Three

Today I am celebrating;

A Suprising Favourite Place

Day Fifty-Nine

I don't like leaving. But this is my favourite sight on the drive away from my family. The rocks stand like giants guarding something sacred. Then you see what. And you feel so small. Heights and fast movements in vehicles frighten me. I've never been scared of this place.

Day Eighty-Two

Today I am celebrating;

A Non-Fail

Day Fifty-Eight.

Yes they're ugly. But boy were they tasty!

Day Eighty-One

Today I am celebrating;

Saving the Environment

Day Fifty-Seven.

Not everyone has one of these.

(Side note: This is a huge solar panel. It will pay for itself after 7 years, and will be producing enough energy to put some back into the grid. The Hydro companies will be paying my parents.)

Day Eighty

Today I am celebrating;

Beauty

Day Fifty-Six.

Pink roses make me happy. Which is quite ironic because I am neither a rose nor a pink person. But they remind me of my grandmother, who always took such great joy in her gardens. Now that she's gone, they seem to be a lasting reminder of the joy she had and her love for the things God had touched.

On a side note, when we were honeymooning in Flordia, Epcot had these beautiful pink roses growing alongside one of the walkways. Gran had been gone for over a year and I was struck that I would be reminded of her so far away from home. It was fitting though, she did love to travel.

This is my other Photo-of-the-day (hey, it's my blog, I can have more then one!)

I forgot something and had to run back and get it, leaving the car door open. Notice the tail. Copper thought HE was going to drive us to town to pick up Kyle!

Day Seventy-Nine

Today I am celebrating;

Unusual Finds

Day Fifty-Five.

Rach and I went for a walk and found this awesomely gross caterpillar. He holds onto things with his butt...

Being with my siblings makes me so much less mature. Maybe because they don't care and laugh with me when I find gross things cool.

Day Seventy-Nine

Today I am celebrating;

Home

Day Fifty-Four.

So we found these giant puffball mushrooms. Then thought it would be hilarious to smash a rotten one on the road. It was so funny we did it again the next day!

Day Seventy-Eight

Today I am celebrating;

The newest member of the Hillyard family

Day Fifty-Three.

Samuel Joseph Hillyard

September 1, 2010 @ 2:39am

8lbs 5oz, 20.5 inches

This photo kills me. Look at Tim holding onto his baby brother. And for the life of me I can't call Sam anything but SJ. Maybe it'll change when I meet him...

Day Seventy-Seven

Today I am celebrating;

Bucket Lists

Day Fifty-Two.

The night before I drew a photo of a giraffee while everyone else was practising their penmanship. I was a little excited for the day ahead. First we took a photo with an elephant behind me. Then I got to touch one. (Disclaimer: No, I'm not actually hurting her. But it is a really funny shot!!) And finally, the pinnacle, a ride atop a pachyderm!! Bucket List item complete!

Day Seventy-Six

Today I am celebrating;

Wonderful friends and equally wonderful adventures with them

Day Fifty-One.

It's been a year. A long year. We missed eachother. And did alot of walking and talking this day.

Day Seventy-Five

Today I am celebrating;

Love Unions

Day Fifty.

We haven't seen them since our own wedding day, and this dress thing was a first for alot of us...

I took alot of photos, but this one is just wonderful. The bride is very anti-pdoa, and Todd is practically their son. So we told her if she wouldn't kiss her new husband at least she could kiss Todd. She complied.

Day Seventy-Four

Today I am celebrating;

Day Forty-Nine.

Day Seventy

Today I am celebrating;

Finishing Tasks for Myself

Day Forty-Five.
My new slippers!! They're far from perfect, but I'm pretty sure I wear them everyday. Dave even snuck them into my bag so I could wear them around the cabin at camp!

Day Seventy-Three

Today I am celebrating;

Lessons Learned

Day Forty-Eight

I realize this post is out of order. However, this needed to be posted.

Today, I earned the title of 'idiot.' Imagine this being caught up in not only the project I'm working on, but also tangled up in my sewing machine. All because I didn't thread my machine properly. I feel the pain of the woman who fretted over ruining her trusted companion sewing machine by threading her bobbin wrong. It looks rather like a spider though, doesn't it?

Day Sixty-Nine

Today I am celebrating;

A Time to Laugh

Day Forty-Four.

Today's sermon was about laughter in the Bible, and began with Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 (To everything there is a time...) On that note, I believe this is a good time to laugh. (Even though I probably look like I'd rather be crying.)

Day Sixty-Eight

Today I am Celebrating;

Breakfast in Bed

Day Forty-Three.

Toast, eggs, sausages, and tea. Yummy.

Day Sixty-Seven

Today I am celebrating;

T. J. Hillyard

Day Forty-Two.

A couple nights ago on 'America's Got Talent' a boy named C.J. Dippa wore his hat so askew I'm suprised it stayed on. The style looks much cuter on my nephew...

Day Sixty-Six

I think the boats are meant to float the other way...

Day Sixty-Five

Today I am Celebrating;

Today I am celebrating;

Am I celebrating? How about an empty room (which you can't see...)

Day Thirty-Six.

Ugh. Almost finished.

Day Sixty

Today I am celebrating;

The Fruits of my Labour

Day Thirty-Four.

If I harvested nothing more than four onions, I at least harvested something from my little appartment garden.

Day Fifty-Nine

Today I am celebrating;

Laugh or Cry Moments

Day Thirty-Three.
Yes my love, I do need kitchen utensils to cook. Please stop taping the box!

Day Fifty-Eight

Today I am celebrating;

Mission Accomplished

Day Thirty-Two.

The task was to finish all eight 'Anne' books by the end of the summer. Mission Accomplished!!!!

Day Fifty-Seven

Today I am celebrating;

Beautiful Moments

Day Thirty-One.

I took alot of photos this day. But this is one of my favourites. Can't you just see the love? I had a chance to witness the incredible bond between horse and rider. I remember watching my cousin and aunt and their horses, and the incredible amount of trust between the two of them.

Day Fifty-Six

Today I am celebrating;

Change?

Day Thirty.

There's something wrong with this photo. (Hint: it's the colour of the leaves)

Day Fifty-Five

Today I am celebrating;

Embracing Tools

Day Twenty-Nine.

I appologize for the blurriness. I have decided to embrace any camera I have in order to take a photo of the day. Today? My nephew eating ice cream. Yummy.
