Day Forty-Three

Today I am celebrating;

Wasted Time in a Beautiful Place.

Day Seventeen.

A waste of the day? Perhaps not.

(I get very dissapointed when I spend more time waiting for someone then I think the even is actually worth. Maybe that makes me patient or selfish, but it's also the reason I never go anywhere without a book (or two).)

Day Forty-Two

Today I am celebrating,

The Wonders of Anne...

Day Sixteen.

The task of the summer was to finish the Anne series. A month and a half to go, and part way through book 7. The consequence? Everything Anne-like catches my attention.

Day Forty-One

Today I am celebrating;

Yumm-Yumms

Day Fifteen.

Dave loves to practise for school. He can't wait to dig his hands into new tools and new foods. This is a mushroom, seconds before he popped in into his own mouth. He's also made onion flowers, and other
vegtables. I made pie instead.

Day Forty

Today I am celebrating;

Everything that is good in Piracy

Day Fifteen.

Ahoy! Dave and I explored the HMS Bounty- yes, the Mutiny on the Bounty, Pirates of the Caribbean, Treasure Island Bounty. It was sweet. I still don't think I would ever crawl up into the crow's nest.

Day Thirty-Nine

Today I am celebrating;

Danger in Moving Forward

Day Fourteen.

Oh, hello Fire Hazard.

Day Thirty-Eight

Today I am celebrating,

Success

Day Thirteen.

Can you guess what this is?

Day Thirty-Seven

Today I am celebrating,

Oops

Day Twelve

Note to self: Water makes things wet. Rain is a form of water. Wind blows rain into any crevice or open space it can find. Puddles form. Socks get wet, clothes hanging on racks do not dry.

Day Thirty-Six

Today I am celebrating;

Packing. Ugh.

Day Eleven.

BORING PHOTO ALERT!!

I packed no less than five boxes today. My life is boring. Thus, a boring (and slightly intimidating) photo.

Day Thirty-Five

Today I am celebrating;

Lazy Days.

Day Ten.

It rained, the boys went fishing, the girls stayed in watching movies and marvelling over clothes we're not brave enough to wear.

Day Thirty-Four

Today I am Celebrating;

Pure Joy

Day Nine.

This is my nephew. Today we shared popcorn and drew on the street. Then we waved at all the people in the parade. I saw pure oy in his face today.

Day Thirty-Three

Today I am celebrating;

Dissapointments turned better
Day Eight.

These are my new shoes. They are black, felty, have gold thread, sequins and beads. I think these are what Indian princesses must wear. And because they are SO beautiful and unlike anything I have ever worn before, I'm wearing them in the house. Yes, me who does not allow Dave to wear his slippers on the balcony and then into the house. It's a rebellious day.

Day Thirty-Two

Continuation of my last post...

I know it's A photo (signifying ONE) photo of the day, but really, it's my rules, and this photo just went SO well with the other one.

It looks like when a woman tucks her dress into her underwear. I guess I missed something when I made my bed today .

Day Thirty-One

Today I am celebrating;

Liberation
Day Seven.
I appologize in advance to anyone who finds this post just past 'a little' weird. But that what today is. And yes, those are exactly what you think they are- a pair of underwear. (CENSORY WARNING- WIERDNESS BEGINS) I like to be comfortable. Especially when 'Aunt Flo' comes to town. So, in my mind I figured I could make myself comfortable underwear. And so far it seems to be working. I think. They cover what they're meant to, but right now they look like a diaper cover. I'll have to see what I can do. At least they're for hiding anyways!
On another liberation note, I cut my bangs. All.By.Myself. It's a big deal, for one who cut her hair as a child and had to miserably live with the results until it grew out again. I'm proud of myself. It looks like it's meant to.
Also, I couldn't resist NOT-hiding the box of things to go to the yard sale. Another liberation.

Day Thirty

Today I am celebrating;

Motivation Caused by a Gloomy Sky

The rain is falling so softly it looks like snow.
I let it kiss my face.
Rain is a much gentler lover.

Day Twenty-Nine

Today I am celebrating;

Odd occurrances

Day Six.

Little fly, this isn't your home. I know he's new, but must you smell him and leave grimy fingerprints?

Day Twenty-Eight

Today I am celebrating:

Birthdays

Day Five.

This is my friend. She turned twenty the day this photo was taken. She is no longer a teenager, and extremely proud of it. And she loved having a free photo shoot on her birthday!

Side note: I think I should start editing photos. Well, the fun ones at least. My National Geographic-esq ones will forever remain unedited, unpolished, raw. A little like me, I guess.

Day Twenty-Seven

Today I am celebrating:

Celebrations
Day Four.
Their first lives with God. This is their joy.
Side Note: My first official maternity/ belly photo shoot!!

Day Twenty-Six

Today I am celebrating;

Matching Pairs

Day Three.

My two sister-in-laws carry my two nieces and nephew. I have to keep reminding myself, they're not quite grown. Not ready yet.

Day Twenty-Five

Today I am celebrating;

Taken Opportunities

Day Two.

Who ever remembers to take a photo of the groom's shoes??

Day Twenty-Four

Today I am celebrating;

Shared Loves and New friends that feel like old ones

I made a new friend this week. She, like I, has a love for capturing God's work through a lens. Also like me, she knows how to take great photos with her point-and-shoot. As she was telling me about this love of hers, she encouraged me to start a photo of the day, like she was doing. I think, really it was more of a 'what's stopping you?' than anything else, but it definately got me thinking. So I present to you, in a variety of posts, the photos of the days. (I'll link them all together with the tagline or 'labels')

Day One.

This photo sums up the week. For some odd reason we started talking British, which lead to the pinky raising indstead of a simple hand raising to signify being quiet. These are my girls. It's been two days and I miss them already.
